The Reims Cathedral:
A masterpiece of Gothic art, one of the major medieval achievements in Europe, remarkable for both its architecture and its statuary. Built in the 13th century, it features unique traits: its exceptional style unity, luminosity, and the richness of its statues. It was intended to host the coronation of the Kings of France. Adorned with 2,303 sculpted motifs, the Reims Cathedral is the only church to have angels with outstretched wings, including the famous Smiling Angel, on the left portal of the facade. Most of the famous stained glass dates back to the 13th century. The three stained glass windows in the axial chapel are the work of Marc Chagall (1974).
During your free time, we recommend you explore:
The Reims Christmas Market, consisting of 150 chalets this year, offering a multitude of gastronomic, artisanal, and festive products. Whether you're looking for an original and authentic gift or simply want to stroll and enjoy the warm atmosphere, you'll always have a good reason to let the magic of Christmas transport you to the City of Coronations and Champagne!
